From the wood work to chosen materials, this was always our home and not built to be a rental. This house is filled with love and soul - which makes it authentic. Welcome to Marília & Frankie's authentic archilovers retreat in São Paulo. Located less than a block away from Avenida Paulista in the Jardins neighborhood and featured in architecture publications in Brazil, from which you can walk to the metro station in Avenida Paulista in less time than the Ramones would need to finish a song. From the wood work to chosen materials, this was always our home and not built to be a rental. This house is filled with love and soul - which makes it authentic. Our apartment is a 43m2 slow-living retreat in the middle of all the action in São Paulo. We converted what was once a studio apartment into a one-bedroom with this beautiful hand-crafted metal and glass door. We renovated the whole apartment we already lived in with all our love for architecture and materials that inspire us - from the woodwork made by a designer we love to our traditional Brazilian Terazzo floor. We're located in what we consider the best block in São Paulo. Authentic but yet super close to the hustle and bustle. We're surrounded by transportation, restaurants, cafés, drugstores and supermarkets. We've lived in this smaller apartment for years and we wouldn't change this location for a bigger place anywhere else in São Paulo, ever. Our home has all the amenities you can wish for in a short visit but also for a longer stay and is located in a luxury residential building with a 24hr doorman that can help you check in automatically. The building features a gym, pool and sauna that can be used by those staying in the apartment - so if you're gonna be here long term or wanna enjoy a sunny afternoon at the pool, you can definitely treat yourself. We have lightning fast wifi, a washer/dryer, full-sized oven and all the cookware you might need to cook a nice meal at home or live comfortably for a while - but we do NOT have a microwave by choice. We're passionate about cooking and baking and love our Brazilian Slate countertops. The apartment features noise reducing windows for as much quiet as possible, though São Paulo can be noisy at times. We are located on the corner of two busy streets, in one of the biggest cities in the world. We have never had any trouble sleeping in our place, but you never know when Brazil can win a World Cup and a spontaneous party can break out right outside the windows. Noise can happen - but we've made the most to make sure it doesn't disturb you. The apartment is more than enough for two people (we've lived here for over 10 years) and we've stayed in smaller apartments with two other friends while traveling, but if you are going to be home a lot and think you might start hating your friends or family after a few days of being close to each other - just keep in mind that two of you will be sleeping in a bedroom with glass doors. The bathroom has a window out to the apartment to allow for natural light to pass. The window has a top part that can be opened to let air in (though the bathroom has a great exhaust) that is made of clear glass, but the whole bottom part of the window is made of opaque wire glass. That means that if one of you turns the light on in the bathroom, some light does get into the kitchen/bedroom. We've lived in the apartment for years and we absolutely love our window, but it's nice to keep that in mind. You'll have the whole apartment to yourselves, always. The apartment is located in a very safe residential building with 24hr security and doorman. Guests staying in the apartment may use pool & gym. You are also allowed to park in the building's parking garage, but you have to tell us that before hand. You cannot smoke anywhere inside the building. Security and building rules are taken very seriously. The check in process requires you to provide ID and taking a photo for registration. NO GUESTS beside those in the reservation are allowed into the building, unless we ok it with security. Don't even try. Uma equipe zelosa de caseiros está empenhada em cuidar das áreas externas da propriedade, assegurando uma estadia verdadeiramente excepcional. A moradia dos caseiros está estrategicamente localizada na entrada do sítio, a uma distância de cerca de 150 metros da casa principal. Além disso, dois cães encantadores fazem parte do ambiente, contudo, eles permanecem em uma área distinta e não têm acesso à casa.
